FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT
 
As deciding at the closing session of XII. Symposium of Medieval and Turkish Period Excavations and Art Historical Researches was done at Çanakkale-Onsekiz Mart University, “XIII. Symposium of Medieval and Turkish Period Excavations and Art Historical Researches” will be organized by our department at 14–16 October 2009 in Denizli/Turkey. It is anticipated that symposium will be actualized with international participation.
 
We would like you to complete the registration form and return it to the address below not later than 30 April 2009; which is very much critical for the contents of the Symposium program.
 
The main purpose in holding this Symposium is to make the date retrieved from the excavations at the Medieval Age and Turkish Period contexts known to the other participants as well as to assess art historical studies in the fields of Byzantine and Turkish arts. By holding this Symposium, we are planning to convene academicians, researchers and students of related areas initiate/promote fruitful exchanges among them.
 
Just like that it was in the previous Symposium, the scientific committee will be evaluating and shortlisting the paper abstracts.
 
Please submit an abstract by 30 April 2009. Abstracts should include: Title of Paper, Full Name (s), Affiliation, Current Position, an email address and at least 3 keywords that best describe the subject of your submission. Decisions are reached within 6 weeks. List of Papers to be Presented, Symposium Program, Paper Guidelines and other details will be announced on this website.
